My
Pedigree
|

As the only female
puppy in a litter of 5 puppies in our repeat breeding, baby
Chili was a feisty puppy who would routinely beat up her
male littermates and thus very much caught my eye as a
baby. Unfortunately for Chili she has had some VERY large
paw prints to fill in terms of following the success of her
big sisters Cajen and Caper. She has turned into a lovely
young adult dog with medium head, lovely topline, good
angles and outstanding movement.
 |
Her show
career has been quite exciting, having finished her
Canadian championship on her 9 month old birthday,
winning multiple best puppy in group wins along the
way. She has also been the United states and did
the Copper circuit in June 2008 winning her class
multiple times and taking one reserve winners bitch
owner / breeder handled. Given that she was only a
senior puppy at the time she greatly exceeded my
expectations. She also did her CERF testing while
in Montana and passed!!
After
returning home Chili attended the large outdoor
Evelyn Kenny dog show in July 2008 where she won
Best Puppy in Group on the first day in the ring as
well as Best of Opposite, beating several high
ranked bitches including her big sister Cajen!!! On
the Saturday she impressed me enormously by easily
passing her Canine Good Neighbor test and earning
some lovely compliments by the examiners about her
relative youth. |
|
Chili will
be shown very sporadically in the future as she is a
much slower maturing bitch than either of her big
sisters. She has the same height and effortless
movement as her sister Cajen, just not the body as
she is slower in maturing.
Overall she is a joy to live with and is the first
one getting into trouble and the first one
initiating play. She loves living on the farm and
can run like the wind. She adored helping (much to
Cajen's displeasure) with Cajen's litter of puppies
in December 2008 and could be caught at any given
moment sneaking in to lick puppies. Pending the
successful completion of her health clearances in
the future, she should prove to be an excellent
mom!!

Chili had a great
weekend at the Edmonton Kennel Club show picking up 2 best
of breeds and one best of opposite wins, as well as her
first group placement, winning a Group 3 in quite a strong
working group under Judge Rosemary Shoreman. Our huge
thanks to all the hard work by Penny Lewis as Chili can be a
handful when she choses to be :0)!!

In June 2010
Chili, Dealer & I travelled up to the Alaska Kennel Club
show in Anchorage where Chili was beautifully presented by
handler Amanda Ashmore to Winner's Bitch/Best of Winners for
a 3 point major on June 26, 2010 and a 2 point win after the
major broke the next day for her first 5 US points. Chili
showed her heart out despite the pouring rain both days!
In August Chili and handler Penny Lewis made the big trip
down to the US where she picked up 2 more points going
Winner's Bitch/Best of Winners each show on the August 14, &
15th, 2010 show weekend in Minnesota at the Kennel Club of
Freeborn County shows. Chili also picked up 3 more points
the following weekend of August 20-22, 2010 in Wisconsin at
the Wisconsin Rapids Kennel Club and Marshfield Area Kennel
Club shows. She is currently sitting on 10 US points
including one major, in 7 days of showing in the United
States.
